We accept payment via cash, credit or debit card, or bank transfer.

We can dispose of any kind of non-hazardous rubbish, from building waste to old furniture. We regularly deal with the likes of sofas, garden compost, electrical items, old wood, and much, much more. Many hazardous materials, such as medical waste and toxic chemicals, are out of our remit but certain items, such as computer monitors, can be collected at an extra cost to cover the separate disposal charges that we face.

Yes, City Junk & Gardening is licensed by the Environment Agency, with the license number CB/SE5140HV. It’s worth remembering that many unlicensed waste disposal companies resort to fly-tipping to cut costs, but ultimately, you are responsible for your rubbish and their actions can result in legal action and fines of £1000 plus.

Absolutely! Our company, drivers, and vehicles are all fully insured, so that in the unlikely event of any damage caused during a job, we are well-prepared.

The disposal of hazardous waste requires a different license and insurance to normal waste and is dealt with by specialist carriers. Contact your local council for further details.

Whilst we base our prices on volume and weight, there are occasional items that require specialist disposal and incur extra charges to us, so we must include these in our quotes. Otherwise, there are no additional charges – we never charge deposits or toll fees.

We will always give you the final price before we start work, and it is completely free of obligation. So, if you’re not happy with it, we will just go on to our next job with no charge to you.

You would expect so, but no. When you hire a skip, you pay a flat fee based on the volume of rubbish that it will hold, whereas with us, you only pay for the amount of rubbish you actually require collecting. Using us also means no skip hire permit charge (or hassle) for parking it on the street. Plus, we do all of the loading and clearing up for you!

As a green company, with a full license from the Environment Agency, we strive to recycle or donate as much of the waste we collect as possible, at no extra cost to the customer. These reusable items will be given to local charities or disposed of at a specialist recycling centre. All other items will be taken to a licensed Waste Transfer Station.

Provided we can do so within daylight, yes we do. We work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays to fit around customer schedules.

Not necessarily. As long as the rubbish is easily accessible to us and we have been given your payment details prior to collection, you don’t need to be at the premises. When we arrive, we will call you with the exact price and start the job.

We will always aim to work around your schedule and make urgent and same-day collections wherever possible. That said, giving us as much notice as possible will be helpful in finding a time and day that suits you.

Whilst we can offer quotes based on pictures, using WhatsApp and Viber, it is difficult to quote precisely when not on site. However, we will always confirm a price on arrival before starting the job, with no obligation for you to continue with the work.

We charge according to volume and weight, and any price will include full loading, sorting, and clearing up, as well as recycling of anything suitable. Items that require special disposal, such as refrigerators, incur a small extra charge.

We find that two heads are better than one! When our staff work in teams, they can work more quickly and more efficiently, helping each other with heavy lifting and bigger jobs.
